BIG NEWS! J. K. Rowling and Warner Brothers have announced a spinoff film set in the Harry Potter universe. The book will be an adaptation of Fantastic Books and Where to Find Them and will focus on the character of Newt Scamander. Rowling is screenwriting the project. Read more about the project on J. Constantin Film, the company behind The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones sequel, City of Ashes, have delayed production on the film which was schedule to begin this week. Read the full story over on The Wrap. Cassie Clare, author of The Mortal Instruments, gave her views on the delay in a post on her Tumblr account.

The US cover for the final book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, Dreams of Gods and Monsters, has been revealed. See the cover (pictured left) and read more over on Hypable.

Also in cover news, the UK cover for The Edge of Always by J. A. Redmerski was debuted on the author's website. The newly released cover is for the digital edition. Redmerski states that the UK print edition will have a different cover entirely. Intriguing!

The first posted for the upcoming adaptation of The Book Thief has been unveiled. See the poster over on Empire Online. The Book Thief is released in UK cinemas in January 2014.

Beautiful Creatures authors Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia have announced a spinoff series featuring Link and Ridley. The first book in the new series titled Dangerous Creatures is set for publication in 2014. Read the full story over on Fangirl Daily.
