I have this on my TBR and I doubt my willpower will last much longer! It sounds like it has a great mix of action and fantasy. Banished is published in February 2014.
I love contemporary books that don't shy away from controversial topics, so I am all over a book about teen pregnancy. I've seen so many positive things about this book already that I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Trouble is out in March 2014.
Lauren Oliver is one of my favourite authors, and having recently finished her Delirium trilogy I am ready for my next fix! A fellow blogger very kindly gave me their copy of this so I'll be getting stuck in soon. Panic is out in March.
I adored Cinder and Scarlet, and the great thing about this series is that you get to meet a new character each time. Can't wait to read this one! Cress is published in February 2014. I borrowed the first two books from the library so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed they order in this book too.
I'm both excited and terrified about this one. I've loved the last few books in this series, but I had some niggles with Clockwork Princess, the final book in the Infernal Devices trilogy. I hope I don't have those same reservations with City of Heavenly Fire! The book is published in May.
I absolutely adored Cruel Summer and Hollow Pike, so I will pretty much read anything James Dawson writes. This sounds like a gripping horror novel. The book is out in June.
I've loved the two books of Cat Clarke's that I've read and she's an author whose writing always shatters my heart. I can't wait to check out her latest novel. A Kiss in the Dark is published in April 2014.
This is one of the most beautifully written series I've ever read and a sequel I'm eagerly anticipating! It's released in April.
After that cliffhanger ending of The Madness Underneath, I will be scrabbling around to get my hands on a copy of this as soon as possible. Maureen has also written a book for World Book Day next year called The Boy in the Smoke which I will be equally eager to track down. There's no release date for The Shadow Cabinet that I can find but it due out next year.
This is the fourth book in the Pushing the Limits series and Katie McGarry, a series which has cemented McGarry in my list of favourite authors, so I'll be dying to read this one.
Which 2014 releases are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comments!
I'm so looking forward to A Kiss in the Dark as well - Cat Clarke is awesome!
ReplyDeleteShe is! I still have Torn on my Kindle to read so that can help make the wait easier :D
DeleteYES. Say My Name is also on my list, but I'm excited for lots of these! Especially Trouble and Panic as I've heard awesome things. And I love the cover for Banished.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Although every single one of these books is on my wishlist, I think I'm most excited about Banished, A Kiss in the Dark and Say My Name!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm really looking forward to ALL of these! Great choices.
