News: Becca Fitzpatrick announces new book "Black Ice"

Yesterday Becca Fitzpatrick, author of the Hush, Hush series announced she has secured a deal to publish her new book Black Ice. Announcing the news on her blog, she included a plot summary of her latest novel which is described as "a riveting stand-alone psychological thriller". Read the description below!

Seventeen-year-old Britt Pfeiffer has been training to backpack the crest of the Teton Range, but she isn't prepared when her ex-boyfriend, who still haunts her every thought, wants to join her. Before Britt can explore her feelings for Calvin, an unexpected blizzard forces her to seek shelter in a remote cabin, accepting the hospitality of its two occupants—who then take her hostage. In exchange for her life, Britt agrees to guide the men off the mountain. As they set off into the storm, Britt knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. But the task isn't as straightforward as it seems. Finding one chilling piece of evidence after another, Britt uncovers the truth about a series of murders that have taken place in the region…and in uncovering this, she may become the killer’s next target.
Are you excited for Black Ice? Personally I love a good thriller and the fact this book will be a standalone, not a series, really excites me!

    1. Oh I know, waiting is the worst! I feel like that with Cassie Clare's books atm. I need them now! :P

With older books I'm just awful at getting round to the sequels. I keep discovering new series I want to read, reading the first book and then moving on to a new series instead of reading the second book! Haha. So more standalones would be good. Especially as there are so many YA series/trilogies around atm. :)
