My finds for this week!

The Rainbow Maker's Tale by Melanie Cusick-Jones. I finished Hope's Daughter this week and really loved the dystopian concept. This book is tells the story from Balik's point of view. I really loved his character and wanted to know more about him after reading Hope's Daughter so I look forward to checking this out!

Inbetween by Tara Fuller. I've seen a lot of people talking about this lately and I came across the author on Twitter and Goodreads. The premise sounds really intriguing! A love story between a girl who escapes death and the reaper who couldn't let her die.

Gone by Michael Grant. "In the blink of an eye. Everyone disappears. GONE.

Except for the young. Teens. Middle schoolers. Toddlers. But not one single adult." (from Goodreads) Ok so I've heard a lot of good things about this book in the past but I'd completely forgotten about til now, so on the to-read list it goes!

Uglies by Scott Westerfield. When I came across this book on Goodreads I wanted to read it straight away. The book is based around a society where at at 16 you get turned "pretty". Sounds really good!

Friday Finds - 13th June

I appear to have added quite a few books to my to-read list this week, so here's a random selection! These were all found online either through blogs or Goodreads.

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry. I've seen reviews of this everywhere, all saying good things! It's YA contemporary romance I think. Looking forward to checking it out.

Send Me a Sign by Tiffany Schmidt. Came across this on The Story Siren. It's about a girl with cancer and looks like a worthwhile read!

Confessions of an Angry Girl by Louise Rozett. This sounds right up my street!

Article 5 by Kristen Simmons. Another post-apocalyptic YA novel which is one of my favourite kinds of YA novel! Must check this one out soon.

Variant by Robison Wells. Read a lot about this recently, too! Sci-fi/dystopian type stuff, again.

These first 3 titles I found over on The Story Siren and thought they looked right up my street! I'm super excited to get them when they come out.

I finished Evermore last week so added the seqeul Blue Moon to my to-read list, as well as Radiance which is the first book in a spin-off series - all by Alyson Noel.

How to Save a Life by Sarah Zarr popped up in the Goodreads giveaway section so I entered the giveaway and added it to my list - looks good!

And finally Glitch by Heather Anastasiu and Of Poseidon by Anna Banks have come up a lot on my Twitter and Goodreads feeds lately so I want to check those out.

Most of my finds this week come from this post which lists the top ten teen books of 2012 so far. Some of them I've read or already added to my to-read list previously, but the rest got added straight away! I hadn't heard of most of them so I was really excited to discover some new titles.

The Opposite of Hallelujah by Anna Jarzad. I added this to my to-read list after visiting this blog and then looking up the book on Goodreads. It sounded intriguing!






Again, another fellow book-blogger find thanks to WWW Wednesdays. ttyl by Lauren Myracle is a book written through instant message conversations. I like books written through different narrative styles like that so I'll have to check it out. Find out more about this book here.







This week I spent some time browsing e-book stores online as I wrestle with the idea of getting my own e-reader. I currently borrow one for all my e-reading needs but haven't found myself needing my own yet. Finding cheap books online might change this though! Whilst browsing Google Play I came across this title which I hadn't heard of before. Switched by Amanda Hocking. It looks good! More here.

My Friday Finds!

Most of my book discoveries come via Goodreads either through the site's recommendation feature or though people I follow on there. I also get recommendations from friends or books I spot at the library. This week I've added the following books to my to-read list!

Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders by Neil Gaiman - added after my friend started reading it and raved about it!









The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness - This appeared on my Goodreads recommendations and on my Goodreads feed, a sure sign I needed to check it out!








Untitled by Jaclyn Moriarty - I absolutely adore Jaclyn Moriarty's Ashbury/Brookfield series (more about that in a post to come on Sunday!) and so I visited her Goodreads page on a frantic internet search to find out if she had any new material coming out soon, and found this mysterious title on her page. Exciting! Hopefully there'll be more info about this project soon. Whilst not YA, I also added Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty purely on the basis it's written by one of my favourite teen author's sisters. That's good enough reason, right?!


Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver - Ok, I have no idea how this wasn't on my Goodreads to-read list already, but it wasn't, so I added it! The library doesn't have a copy at the moment so I've submitted it as a stock suggestion and hopefully it'll surface soon. I absolutely loved the first book Delirium so I'm really excited to read the sequel.
